Holiday Shake Sharing – A KitchenAid Blender Special

Holiday Shake Sharing – A KitchenAid Blender Special

The holiday season is one of my favorite times of the year. With all the lights, gifts, shopping, music, and memories made with friends and family.

Although it’s the winter time, it’s always warm and cozy in our home. In my family we usually like to bake cookies and desserts, but we started something new by making holiday shakes this year. They are so much fun and you can even add a little extra something for the adults.

Some of my favorites are the Candy Cane Shake, Ginger Snap Shake and Andes Mint Shake. They are so festive and so yummy, and are fun and easy to make. I use the KitchenAid 5-Speed Diamond Blender.

It’s not confusing and is so simple to use. It can stir, chop, mix, puree or liquify. There is also a crush ice button that will pause in between to maximize on getting the crushed ice.

My son and my nephew enjoy putting their favorites in the blender and creating their own unique milkshakes. At the simple touch of a button, they can become their very own dessert genius.

Here are some recipes that I enjoy!

Candy Cane Milkshake:

  • 4 scoops of vanilla ice cream
  • 1 cup of milk
  • ½ cup of broken down candy canes (add more or less to your liking)
  • Adult it: Add 2 shots of your favorite vodka (only if you’re of age and please be responsible & safe)

Put all the ingredients in the blender and hit the mix button for about 20 seconds to get it all mixed up. Pour it into your favorite cup, top it with whip cream and sprinkle some crushed candy canes on top. It’s a sweet traditional way to celebrate the season.

Ginger Snap Milkshake:

  • 4 scoops of vanilla ice cream
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 15-20 ginger snaps (add more or less to your liking)
  • Adult it: Add 2 shots of Baileys Irish Cream (only if you’re of age and please be responsible & safe)

Put all the ingredients in the blender and hit the puree button to gradually break down the ginger snaps to get it all chopped up and mixed. Pour it into your favorite cup, top it with whip cream and sprinkle some crushed ginger snaps and add some caramel. It’s one to get your holiday pumped up with a hint of spice.

Andes Mint Shake:

  • 4 scoops of vanilla or mint chocolate chip ice cream
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 10 Andes Mints (add more or less to your liking)
  • Adult it: Add 2 shots of Kahlua (only if you’re of age and please be responsible & safe)

Put all the ingredients in the blender and hit the puree button to chop up the Andes mints and get it all mixed up with the ice cream. Pour it into your favorite cup, top it with whip cream and top it with crushed Andes mints and chocolate syrup. This is one of my favorites with a fresh and chocolate flavor to relax through the festivities.

Get creative with the KitchenAid Blender and make a milkshake this holiday season. You can also share your photos and works of art by using #NFMatHome
