3 Fun Gifts On Our Wish List This Christmas
Season’s greetings! With everyone in full-on gift-giving mode, we asked some of our favorite blog writers what they’d like to find underneath the Christmas tree this year.
I think every kitchen should have a food processor! It’s a one-stop-shop for the cook in the family making meal prep and baking so much easier. Just think being able to make homemade salsa without having to cry because of the onions or making a nice chop salad for dinner and not having to chop each individual vegetable. Making cookies will be a breeze just add all the ingredients and push a button and your dough is mixed without the aching shoulders from stirring. Food processers come in many different colors and sizes too match almost any décor and must be under the tree.
For me one of my favorite traditions during the holidays are the little knick-knacks that are given to me in my stocking. And anyone who knows me, knows that movies are always a good idea. Here are a few movies that would make great stocking stuffers!
Reunited once more on the big screen, Dory, Marlin and Nemo are on a quest to figure out Dory’s beginnings. After helping raise Nemo, Dory has a flashback about her family and decides to go hunt them out. Unfortunately, her short term memory makes this to be quite difficult. After getting separated from her friends, Dory finds herself in quite the predicament and eventually has to find her way back to them, in the meantime learning about her life and making friends along the way.
Amy (Mila Kunis) is a mom overworked and underappreciated. She works, she tends to her kids and their activities, all well doing her best to comply to the ridiculous rules of the PTA. After one particularly horrible day, she goes on a binge of fun and over indulgence, it backfires and Amy realizes she needs to reign it in. This is a comedic movie, where the humor can push the boundaries. Definitely not for kids, but great for Mom’s to know how much they are appreciated, and how important it is to take a moment to laugh and have fun.
Hell or High Water
When the family ranch is threatened to be foreclosed by the bank, Toby and his brother are forced to go to extremes to save it. This includes a series of heists at banks in Texas. Hot on their trail is a Texas Ranger (Jeff Bridges) who wants to retire with glory and catch the bad guys one last time. There is a twist in this movie that by saying anymore would give it away, so make sure to check it out.
