Deck the Halls with Christmas Decor Galore
It’s that time of year to fill your house with cheer, drink apple cider and bake cookies. Getting started is always the hard part, like what Christmas decorations to buy and where to put them …
There’s a lot to think about in such a short amount of time. I love this time of year because this is the time where my creative side can come out and I pull out all the stops. Usually the Christmas tree goes up first then I set about to decorating the house.
I love anything that lights, up so this LED Gift Box Tower (yes, pre-lit gift boxes to place either indoor or outdoor!) screams that the holiday season is here and makes my house just glow and flicker.
Something new that I like to use is a projector. These projectors show different patterns in different colors and settings make decoration outside of the house a breeze for those who are not fans of ladders. Placed just right, these projectors will cover the front of the house and make it light up with holiday cheer. This is such time and money saver! All you have to do is press a button and poof your house is lit up and you can sit back and relax.
You can never go wrong with wall décor. It’s a quick and easy fix for holiday decorating. Not only does it add color and fun but it also allows me to be versatile in what I can put up and how often I can change it out. From wood signs wishing holiday cheer to stick-and-peel wall decals that won’t damage your walls, you’ll find everything you need to get your house decorated.
Who doesn’t like a Santa village? All those houses lighted up with carolers standing on the steps, or in the courtyard singing, the baker in the bakery rolling out dough for bread or pastries and the church bells ringing as figures skating on the fake pond and the train whistles through as it goes around the village. Decorating for Christmas would not be the same with out some kind of village….. this is almost a must-have whether it’s big or small, village houses can bring in the warmth of the season and will allow you to add to the set over time making it a family tradition and heirloom for generations to come.
Lastly I finish off my decorating with candles…not just ordinary candles, but a display of candles to give me that special glow in the house while Christmas music is playing softly in the background. I use fake candles for safety reasons, but no one is the wiser and I don’t burn my house down. I normally use luminaries to achieve the look I am going for since they’re so much easier to set up then bulky candle holders. These candles are a cheap way to decorate, but they pack a punch when it comes to the atmosphere that these simply little candles can create!
