Top 10 Things to Do in Omaha During Berkshire Hathaway Shareholders Week
See All of the Attractions at the Shareholders’ Meeting
Of course, listening to the Oracle of Omaha speak at the Annual Shareholders Meeting is a must. While the meeting is informative and takes questions from the floor, the real highlight is Mr. Buffett’s wit and humor. Buffett has previously shared the stage with the University of Nebraska Cheerleader Squad, challenged friends to a newspaper toss, and taken on a top ranked Scrabble player and a 9-year old Youth Ping Pong Champion. Needless to say, you won’t be bored.
Explore The Old Market
A Must see is “Bob” (the Bob Kerry Pedestrian Bridge), the first and longest pedestrian bridge to link two states – Nebraska and Iowa. Stand in just the right spot and you are in two places at the same time. Take a selfie while you are “Bobbing”… trust me, it is a real thing. The Old Market is Omaha’s most historic, most entertaining neighborhood. The cobblestone streets are home to a diverse mix of shopping, galleries, restaurants, taverns and people-watching.
Enjoy a Meal at Gorat’s Steakhouse
When you’re in town, make the most of it and enjoy one of Omaha’s most famous steakhouses. Legend has it that you can expect to find Mr. Buffett there from time to time enjoying his favorite meal.
