NFM Texas: It's Not Just Big, It's Texas Big!

texas banner

It’s only appropriate that when building the newest Nebraska Furniture Mart in Texas that we also fit it with not just a big banner, but a Texas Big Banner. The banner is not a permanent feature, only temporary until the exterior signage is placed. The banner itself that is flanking the side of what will become the Main Entrance into Nebraska Furniture Mart of Texas is 80 feet wide by 40 feet tall. The banner is still dwarfed by the Texas Big store we are planning with 560,000 square feet of the latest in Appliances, Electronics, Furniture and Flooring.

And it’s just not a new banner, but real progress is being seen throughout the store and surrounding development Grandscape. The Nebraska Furniture Mart of Texas store is seeing the last pieces of glass being placed on the entrance to the flooring department and parking garage. Two large square skylights were completed leaving the building officially dried-in from a roofing standpoint. The last super flat concrete pour occurred in the 1.3 million square feet warehouse on January 23. In February, the site is anticipating the arrival of flooring to begin work on the interior features of the store.

Grandscape, the surrounding development is seeing the beginnings of pavement for roadways pop up. With over 400 acres, the development is seeing a lot of groundwork, or underground work still taking place with storm lines, sewers and utility crews getting ready for the 3.9 million square feet of retail, entertainment, dining and attractions planned for the space.

Considering that 12 months ago these pictures were just a field of dirt, it is exciting to see the progress. While opening is still slated for the spring of 2015, Nebraska Furniture Mart of Texas and the surrounding development Grandscape are coming along.

Nebraska Furniture Mart of Texas will be an anchor for the larger development taking shape around it known as Grandscape. Grandscape will stretch across 400+ acres with 3.9 million square feet of retail, entertainment, dining and attractions. For more information, visit www.grandscape.com.
