Alternate Ways to Workout

You are looking for a little something to change up routine about now. You want to see what else is out there, just so you’re not doing the same thing over and over again. Here’s a few of my top favorite alternate workout options I would personally choose to change things up.

  1. I love to go mountain biking and to take a few trails every now and again. I’ll tell you something, mountain biking turns your body into a calorie burning machine. You work on your cardiovascular endurance also with some wicked leg strengthening. Time flies when you are riding so it’s something that can take up a whole afternoon and burn over 1500 calories easily, depending on your pace.
  2. A more conventional approach to an alternate workout, which I advise all my clients to do, is yoga. Every part of yoga will help you from your daily life tasks to your actual cardio and strength workouts. The breathing techniques, the core stability and last, but not least, the flexibility and injury prevention it teaches you are fantastic. It is a must for anyone wanting to look better, feel better and be healthy overall.
  3. Another powerful option is the art of kickboxing. It is a power-punched workout full of great self-defense moves that provide a killer workout that will have you sweating and asking for more. Kickboxing is a full body exercise that uses upper and lower body power combined with body stabilization and strength. Kickboxing makes you aware of the benefits of having a strong core and base system which transfers over nicely to your everyday strength and cardio routines.

That’s the beauty of alternate workouts. You can switch it up with different options that keep you working hard to pursue your goals every single day without losing interest and burning out.
