Child Safety

Child safety is every loving parents concern. Deciding what non-endangering products to purchase for your child can be overwhelming. Certifications and labels tell a parent “Buy Me”, but why should you trust their statement?

The four groups listed will give you, the parent, confidence your child will not be harmed by the products you purchase with the following categories in mind:  Standardized Safety Requirements, Air Quality and Chemical Emissions, and Industry Awareness and Education.

  • The Juvenile Products Manufacturers Association (JPMA) founded in 1962, exists to advance the interests, growth and well-being of North American prenatal to preschool product manufacturers, importers, and distributors marketing under their own brands to consumers.
  • Intertek has worked with businesses for more than 130 years to ensure their products meet quality, health, environmental, safety, and social accountability standards for virtually any market around the world.
  • The American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) standards have been used around the world for more than 100 years to improve product quality, enhance safety, facilitate market access and trade, and build consumer confidence.
  • GREENGUARD Certification helps manufacturers create–and helps buyers identify–interior products and materials that have low chemical emissions, improving the quality of the air in which the products are used.

When purchasing furniture for baby, kids furniture or toys, make sure the products you are purchasing have been certified as safe and environmentally clean. This ensures the health, safety and happiness of your child long into the future.
